PAS 5207 Comprehensive Geriatric Care Clerkship
he Clerkship in Geriatric Care provides Physician Assistant (PA) students with a comprehensive, hands-on clinical experience in the care of older adults across a range of settings, including outpatient care, nursing homes, long-term care facilities, and hospice care. This course is designed to expose students to the unique challenges and complexities of geriatric medicine, including the management of chronic conditions, cognitive disorders, functional decline, palliative care, and end-of-life issues. Students will work closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including geriatricians, nurses, social workers, and hospice providers, to deliver compassionate, holistic care that meets the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of older adult (>65 years) patients.
Prerequisite
Admission to the Physician Assistant Program and Successful Completion of all didactic and clinical courses to date.
