PAS 5204 Mental Health and Substance Abuse Clerkship

The Clerkship in Mental Health and Substance Abuse offers Physician Assistant (PA) students an in- depth, hands-on clinical experience in diagnosing, managing, and treating mental health disorders and substance use conditions. This course provides exposure to a broad spectrum of behavioral health challenges, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Students will work alongside experienced clinicians in multidisciplinary teams, developing the skills necessary to assess, treat, and provide comprehensive care for individuals facing mental health and substance abuse issues.

Admission to the Physician Assistant Program and Successful Completion of all didactic and clinical courses to date.
