PAS 5206 Pediatrics Clerkship
The Clerkship in Pediatrics offers Physician Assistant (PA) students a comprehensive, hands-on clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric settings with a focus on well-child exams, vaccinations, developmental screenings, and management of common pediatric illnesses. Students are provided the opportunity to care for children from infancy through adolescence, developing the skills necessary to diagnose, treat, and manage the wide range of pediatric conditions. Students will engage in direct patient care under the supervision of experienced pediatricians and other healthcare providers, participating in patient assessments, diagnostic testing, health promotion, preventive care, and the management of acute and chronic pediatric conditions.
Prerequisite
Admission to the Physician Assistant Program and Successful Completion of all didactic and clinical courses to date.
