PAS 5200 Internal Medicine Clerkship

The Clerkship in Internal Medicine provides Physician Assistant (PA) students with a thorough, hands-on clinical experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This course is designed to offer students a comprehensive understanding of the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of adult medical conditions, including chronic diseases, acute illnesses, and complex multi-system disorders. Students will engage in direct patient care under the supervision of experienced internists, participating in medical assessments, diagnostic testing, treatment planning, and follow-up care across diverse clinical environments. Application of study, spirituality, service, and community is emphasized as this clerkship emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach to the care of internal medicine patients.
