PAS 5016 Clinical Pharmacology II: Specials Populations, Adverse Effects and Emerging Topics
The goal of this course is to provide knowledge on the pharmacologic principles necessary for the safe and efficacious prescribing of medications as demonstrated in clinical case studies. Upon completion the student will be able to apply this knowledge to the pharmacotherapeutic management of diseases during therapeutic interventions. In addition, students will be proficient in managing pharmacotherapy in special populations, mitigating adverse effects, and applying emerging pharmacological advancements to clinical practice. They will also be prepared to approach pharmacotherapy with a holistic perspective, integrating the values of study, spirituality, service, and community into their practice.

Admission to the Physician Assistant Program and Successful Completion of Semesters 1-2.
