PAS 5019 Integrated Clinical Medicine III: Diagnosis, Documentation, Patient Education, and Procedures for Physician Assistants

This is the last of the three graduate-level courses integrating the principles of clinical medicine with essential skills in physical diagnosis, medical documentation, patient education, and basic clinical procedures, preparing physician assistant students to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care. Rooted in the mission of integrating study, spirituality, service, and community, this course emphasizes the ethical, compassionate, and holistic application of clinical knowledge and skills to improve health outcomes and address disparities. Topics covered in this course include autoimmune and immunodeficiency disorders, allergies, fractures and trauma, degenerative and sports injuries, inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue disorders, diabetes & metabolic syndrome, endocrine diseases, neurologic disorders, and complex multisystem presentations.
