NUR 587 Population Health Informatics, Epidemio
This course provides a comprehensive introductionto population health, epidemiology, outcomeevaluation (including social and behavioraldeterminants of health), and evidence-basednursing informatics, as applied topopulation-based health at the global level. Learners will examine interoperable healthinformatics systems that enable healthsurveillance, reporting, promotion, prevention,and outbreak management to yield evidence and datainformed decision-making. Finally, learners willcreate a publishable manuscript using SQUIREGuidelines, and a professional poster presentationfor dissemination of knowledge.
