NUR 522 Academic Nurse Education
The course applies concepts basic to theeducational process in nursing practice. Emphasisis on the science of teaching/ learning, whichincludes theories and characteristics of activelearning and engaged learning. The art ofteaching includes theories of curriculum designand process, creation of functional objectives,and effective instructional methods. The use oftechnology and educational resources will beexplored. Students will critique and analyzemethods for measuring outcomes in nursingeducation. The student will learn strategies forevaluating the effectiveness of tests and writtenassignments.
