LAW-8075 Power and Difference in Leadership

This course explores how power, identity, and difference shape leadership within the legal profession. Students will learn about how leaders in a variety of settings navigate decision making and manage across differences. Speakers may include leaders in government, the judiciary, nonprofits, corporate entities, public interest organizations and law enforcement. Through case studies and guest speakers, students will analyze leadership challenges in which difference is both a source of tension and a driver of innovation. The course emphasizes inclusive leadership, ethical decision-making, and the ability to build trust and collaboration across varied experiences and perspectives.
