Concepts related to major alterations of healthof individuals and their families are presentedwithin the framework of the nursing process. Critical thinking is developed throughinterpretation and analysis of nursing diagnosticdata and identification of therapeuticinterventions including pharmacotherapeutictherapies. Management of adult clients withcommon alterations in health, and acute andchronic illness are emphasized.
