This course will cover the design, development,implementation, and support of computer-basedinformation systems. Wth innovations in healthcare technology, unique opportunities andchallenges for the end-user will be considered andcarefully addressed. This course will providestudents with a thorough understanding ofconfidentiality issues surrounding informationmanagement. Additionally, participants will gainan understanding of the impact informationmanagement systems have on the health care team,delivery of care, efficiency and productivity,patient safety, and health outcomes.
