NUR 310 Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing Theory
Theories and concepts related to human behaviorand promotion, maintenance and restoration ofmental health of individuals and families arepresented within the framework of the nursingprocess. Critical thining, communication,self-awareness and therapeutic use of self areemphasized as students explore issues in acutepsychiatric nursing.Legal and ethical dilemmas areaddressed, especially in relation to acutepsychopathology.
