NUR 308 Psychiatric/Mental Health and Psychopha
Theories and concepts related to human behaviorand promotion, maintenance, and restoration ofmental health of individuals and families arepresented within the framework of the nursingprocess. Critical thinking, communication,self-awareness and therapeutic use of self areemphasized as students explore issues inpsychiatric/mental health nursing andpsychopharmacotherapeutic therapies. Legal andethical dilemmas are addressed, especially inrelation to acute psychopathology.
