NUR 362 Perspectives on Obesity
Obesity is a major health problem affectingindividuals of all ages and families. Variousperspectives related to the etiology, treatmentand management of obesity are explored.Multidisciplinary approaches in the prevention ofobesity through self-evaluation of risk factors,nutrition, exercise and education are realizedthrough portfolio development and engaged learningactivities. Student presentations are focused onhealth problems associated with obesity, theimpact of obesity on nursing care and health careresources and weight loss programs.
