Application of internships and business procedures to the establishment and day-to-day operations of a design practice. Prerequisite: IND 438 with a C or better.

IND 436QR Lighting Design

The theory, strategies and technical application of lighting systems for human activity. Focused on light quality and quantity through calculations, lighting plans and specifications. Quantitative Reasoning. Prerequisites: IND 337 with a C or better; successful completion of math competency.

IND 438 Interior Design Internship

Supervised internship of 10 week/250-hour minimum in interior design, or a related industry, to complement classroom learning. Expectation for experience is at a single firm. Prerequisites: IND 338 and IND 339WI with a C or better.

IND 439 Interior Design Studio V: Senior Project

A capstone studio course focusing on mixed-use commercial interior projects with increasing scope and complexity, integrating current trends. Prerequisites: IND 339WI, IND 436QR with a C or better; Pre/Co-requisite: IND 335 with a C or better.
