Program Description
The Turtle Mountain College’s (TMC) Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certificate of Completion is designed for those wishing to become entry-level patient care providers. Upon completion of this program, the student is eligible to provide basic life support in a variety of clinical settings. Some departments include but are not limited to ambulance services, hospitals, fire departments, law enforcement, security, and many other areas. The EMT certification is also required to advance to the higher levels of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) certification such as the Paramedic. Upon successfully completing the EMT course of instruction, students will be eligible to take the National Registry of EMT’s (NREMT) Written and Practical Examinations.
