This course examines Michigan's diverse linguistic and cultural communities and their relationships to dominant and non-dominant languages and cultures.

For students continuing the study of a language or topic not offered in the regular program of this department.

For students continuing at the 300 level the study of a language or topic not offered in the regular program of this department. Prerequisites: permission of instructor and department chairperson.

This capstone course synthesizes students’ applied language experiences and studies and prepares them for the job market. Prerequisites: FLN 200 and applied language experience (e.g. study abroad, internship, service learning).

Internship experience within or outside the United States that involves a foreign language or global culture component. Prerequisite: Permission of instructor, program advisor or department chair.

The in-depth study of a topic within the language under the direction of a faculty member. Prerequisites: Permission of instructor.
