Policy Statement: Normandale Community College complies with Federal law, State law and MnSCU policies governing alcoholic beverages or controlled substances on campus.

Part 1: Prohibitions

Subpart A: The possession, use, sale or distribution of alcoholic beverages on campus or at off-campus institution-sponsored events is prohibited.

Subpart B: The possession, use, sale or distribution of controlled substances is prohibited.

Subpart C: Advertising or promotions by alcohol companies or distributors is not permitted.

Part 2: Exceptions

Subpart A: The President may approve use of alcohol at specific special events on campus or college-sponsored events off campus.

Subpart B: Use of alcohol in laboratory and classroom instruction/experiments is allowed.

Part 2: Violations

Subpart A: Students in violation of this policy are subject to sanctions through the student judicial process.

Subpart B: Employees in violation of this policy are subject to personnel action.
