DSIM 605 Applied Data Management
This course offers an in-depth exploration of allthe principles and techniques for managingcorporate data resources from a strategic andbusiness analytics perspective. The course isdesigned to provide not only a strong theoreticalfoundation, but also the technical and basicbusiness skills required in analyzing, designing,implementing, managing, and utilizing informationrepositories. Topics covered include therelationship of database systems, databasedesign, database schemas, database manipulation,data mining, reporting and the visualization ofdata to a business's vision and mission. This isa case-study and project-based course with aprogramming component
