DSIM 606 Data Mining and Predictive Analytics
This course deals with developing data miningmodels for big data sets to gain insights andmake strategic business decision. This coursewill cover knowledge and skills about advancedbusiness analytics and quantitative tools viaapplied research application using data miningand predictive modeling approaches. Students willbe exposed to developing real applied predictivemodels using analytical software such asclassification tree, regression and logisticregression. Model performance evaluation andimplementation strategies will be covered. Bothsupervised learning and unsupervised learningmodels will be discussed. Students will presenttheir work in a numerous formats to a variety ofaudiences.
