This course develops fundamental knowledge andskills for applying statistical models tobusiness decision making. Students will learn toapply statistical techniques to the processingand interpretation of data from variousindustries and disciplines. Topics coveredinclude descriptive statistics, probabilitydistributions, sampling, confidence intervals,hypothesis testing, linear and multipleregressions, and the use of computer software forstatistical applications. The knowledge gainedfrom this course will be used throughout theentire applied business analytics curriculum.
