Respecialization in School Psychology (Professional Certificate)
The purpose of the professional certificate is to offer theoretical and practical teaching for re-specialization in School Psychology for those people who have a master's degree or doctorate in psychology, according to the standards of the certifying organizations in Puerto Rico and the United States. Courses and practical experience expose students to the topics and experiences basic to competent practice in the specialty of school psychology.
The Professional Certificate of Respecialization in School Psychology aims to develop competencies associated with school consulting and evaluation and intervention for the development of the academic, emotional and social skills of children and adolescents.
The student may choose either of the two options, regardless of whether he or she has a Master's or Doctorate degree. Option Number 1 consists of 18 credits and a 1200-hour internship of 6 credits for a total of 22 credits.
