Management and Legal Affairs (MML)

Program description

The MSc in Management and Legal Affairs is designed to provide an understanding of the legal system in which businesses meet and interact. It is aimed at professionals who wish to broaden their knowledge in Management with an applied component of Law. This legal knowledge, applied to management, supports the development of the business ecosystem in society. This degree analyzes the legal system related to managerial work, from a risk management perspective to prevailing government regulation. The program does not prepare students for the practice of Law.

Program goals

  1. Develop professionals capable of making complex managerial decisions in an ethical, optimal and informed manner by using the applicable legal foundations.

  2. Propose alternatives to face the pertinent challenges in the global business environment.

Program objectives

  1. Strengthen students' managerial skills for decision-making through the use of appropriate information, concepts and techniques.

  2. Expose students to the evaluation of legal risks in management and management strategies for their mitigation.

  3. Evaluate the factors that apply to the solution of managerial problems.

  1. Demonstrate oral and written communication skills in the performance of the profession.

  2. Examine the different legal controversies that occur when managing, directing and leading in competitive and dynamic environments.

  3. Categorize the practical and theoretical implications of the laws related to companies.

  1. Demonstrate an ethical attitude that results in the management of controversies and managerial conflicts characterized by reliability, honesty, responsibility and discretion.

Admission requirements

Students applying for the master's degree in Management and Legal Affairs (MML) must:

1. Present the results obtained in the Exam for Admission to Postgraduate Studies (EXADEP), or in the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or equivalent, with a minimum score of 300 or comply with any measurement test established by the Program with the exception of those candidates who have a minimum academic index of 3.00 in their high school or in the last 60 credits.
