History of the Americas - Combined Program (MA-PhD)

Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the combined master-doctorate program, the student must:

  1. Have passed a different modern language course, other than Spanish and English, with a minimum grade of C.
  2. Present the results obtained with a score of 350 or more on the Examen de Admisión a Estudios Graduados (EXADEP) or its equivalent.
  3. Complete an interview with the History Program Admission Committee. The candidate will be evaluated with a rubric and must obtain 75% or more.
  4. Demonstrate the ability to write an essay or equivalent document based on a theme designated by the Program Admission Committee.
