COUN 503 Human Growth and Development

This course provides a graduate-level introduction to human development throughout the lifespan, including emotional development, social development, physical development, and cognitive development. Topics include theories of development and theories of learning, understanding biological, neurological, physiological, environmental and systemic factors that impact development, and a general framework for promoting resilience and wellness in culturally appropriate ways. Methods of instruction involve a mixture of in-class face-to-face learning and online asynchronous learning.Course Entry Requirements: MAC program
