Ethical Principles and Policy Issues in Health Care: presents an overview of fundamental ethical theories and principles along with a model for ethical decision-making that students will use to analyze various case scenarios. Topics such as patient autonomy, conflicts of interest,confidentiality, disclosure, informed consent, end-of-life care, health care fraud and abuse, justice and resource allocation will be discussed.(1 credit hour)
