NURS 203C Nursing Care of Specialized Populations: Application

Provides students with hands-on instruction and practice with nursing skills utilized in various types of nursing found in an acute medical setting, including, but not limited to: obstetrics, pediatrics, mental health, drug treatment, and the elderly. Allows students to combine all previous knowledge from previous courses with additional instruction in order to provide care to specialty populations that may present in a variety of medical settings. The focus continues to be on developing students to build the skills to safely practice as entry-level generalists in nursing to complement the types of medical care available in the local community.
