NURS 201 Introduction to Nursing Care in Acute Care Settings
Provides an introduction to various types of nursing found in an acute medical setting, including, but not limited to: Medsurg, orthopedics, ICU, ED, Oncology. The focus is on developing students to build the skills to safely practice as entry-level generalists in nursing to complement the types of medical care available in the local community.
Lecture will be presented utilizing a variety of multimedia and interactive presentations. Laboratory/simulation experiences will be largely hands-on, team-based, and collaborative using a variety of resources including, but not limited to: multimedia, simulation scenarios
