Program Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate fundamental knowledge and comprehension of the major concepts, theoretical perspectives, social patterns and empirical findings to discuss sociological principles.
  • Demonstrates sociological reasoning and problem solving, including effective research methods and data analysis.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with the formal regulations that govern professional ethics in sociology.
  • Construct a cogent argument, present information using a sociological approach, engage in discussion of sociology concepts, and gain an understanding of diverse perspectives.
  • Work collaboratively using sociology- specific content and skills, demonstrate effective self-reflection, and understanding of diverse groups and social issues. Students will acquire sociological skills and knowledge for application in educational and work settings.
