Experiential Academy
The Experiential Academy is a two-year program of study, fulfilling the general education requirements of the college. The program provides an innovative approach to higher education and was created for those seeking a more dynamic and engaging type of learning than is typically found in traditional college classrooms.
The goals of the program are:
- to offer students a 21st century form of education, grounded in a hands-on pedagogy, that prepares them, not only for future studies in higher education, but also positions them to succeed in an ever-changing and increasingly competitive work environment.
- to provide non-traditional learners and at-risk students with the kind of supportive learning environment that can foster academic success and personal growth.
- to inspire students to become engaged members of the larger community after they have graduated from college.
The Office of Experiential Learning engages students in purposeful experiences that support and enhance their learning through hands-on activities and reflection. The programs offered through the Office of Experiential Learning support Molloy College’s mission and Dominican tradition of study, spirituality, service, and community.
