KIN 485 Biomechanics of Human Movement

This course examines the mechanical basis of human movement. Human movement will be studied in great detail from a biomechanical perspective. Coursetopics will emphasize the fundamental concepts ofkinematics (movement), kinetics (forces), passiveand active muscle and joint biomechanics, sportsbiomechanics, and biomechanical technologies.Qualitative and quantitative analyses used tostudy the human body and human movement will bestudied. Attention is continually focused onperformance, injury, and musculoskeletal health.
