ETC 577 Literacy, Language Arts, and Children's Literature

This is the last of three courses in the literacy sequence for the MIT program. This course provides candidates with specific strategies for differentiating literacy instruction. Topics include literacy instructional strategies aligned with the state standards in literacy and the English Language Arts, technology to foster flexible learning opportunities, and children’s multicultural literature. Practical application includes designing instructional plans to support literacy development for all learners.Course Entry Requirements: Acceptance into the Master in Teaching program, successful completion of ETC 567 and ETC 570 or permission of the program director.
