ETC 511 Educational Testing, Assessment & Evaluation
This course examines assessment from the perspective of the classroom teacher and focuses on the development and use of effective classroom assessment practices, both formal and informal. The course covers an introduction to assessment strategies, an exposure to classroom performance criteria, and an emphasis on how to monitor student progress and make data driven instructional decisions. Candidates utilize assessment information in developing and reflecting on learning experiences in the classroom, communicating with parents, and enabling students to self monitor their learning.Course Entry Requirements: Acceptance into the Masters In Teaching program or by Director’s permission.
