MUSI 6369 Music History and Literature - Music for the Stage

This course explores various subjects in relation to music for the stage. Focusing on opera and including other forms of musical theater in Western and non-Western traditions, course materials and activities address topics such as the aesthetic, philosophical, literary, and economic, and social developments of various genres of musical theater.
