MUSI 6351 Music Theory - 20th and 21st Century

This course will explore the compositional techniques of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Topics covered include polytonality, pandiatonicism, atonality, twelve-tone music, serial procedures, and set theory. Course will consist mostly of listening and score analysis.
