Psychology

Psychology students undertake careers in settings such as youth service agencies, mental health centers, substance abuse programs and a variety of other positions where knowledge of human behavior is important. The College’s Psychology major is a generalist program, designed to be useful both to students seeking employment after graduation and to those going on to graduate school.

 

Program Learning Outcomes:

1. Students will understand and apply psychological concepts within and across subfields of psychology.

2. Students will communicate effectively in writing, as it relates to psychology.

3. Students will understand and apply the scientific method and its application, as it relates to psychology.

4. Students will construct and evaluate post-graduation plans for careers in psychology.
