EDU 5354 Research and Analysis: Critical Topics in Content and Pedagogy

(formerly EDU 583; formerly History of Biology and 21st Century: Social, Ethical and Technological Concerns)

Guided independent research project leading to the preparation of a major project or paper. Research project will critically examine planning, assessment, instruction and current curriculum practices. Students will develop critical perspectives on the practices and underpinning principles of curriculum, assessment and pedagogy in contemporary education settings. The students will use these perspectiveS to present a clear, coherent and independent expansion of curriculum, pedagogy and assessment practices relevant to their role as an educator.
