MGT 568 Entrepreneurial Leadership

This course examines the entrepreneurialventure process that begins with identifyingan opportunity and ends with "havesting" thevalue created. This course is designed around thefoundation of a business plan for a start upcompany, and will examine the formulation ofbusiness ideas (strategy), selecting a locationand marketing channels, the selection of organization structure (legal), and the evaluationof a venture capital opportunity. Additionally,students will assess the market potential (marketing), develop human resource managementsystem/supply chain management (operationsmanagement), and the establishment of operatingbudgets and strategic planning (accounting) forreporting and control. Final class presentationwill be before a panel of venture capitalists.
