CMBA 690 Strategic Thinking for Competitive Positioning

This capstone course integrates functional area knowledge acquired in previous coursework with the tools of strategic management.  The objective is to provide an experience at the Senior Management level of the organization.  Specific content focuses on business level strategy, including industry and competitor analysis, customer discovery, opportunity assessment, traditional SWOT analysis and analysis of a company’s key strategic resources.  Students will demonstrate their ability to analyze and formulate a strategy to achieve sustainable competitive advantage in case studies and a major project that will be presented to faculty and local business leaders.
