NURS 8301 DNP Role Transition

Course explores the theoretical underpinnings that provide the foundation for the Doctor of Nursing Practice role. Nurses in this role will conceptualize solutions to the access and equity issues of twenty-first-century health care. Included are the roles of the advanced practice nurse that incorporated the concepts of professional development, the scope of practice, peer review, legal and ethical parameters of practice, business management, and models of practice. Theoretical concepts related to role theory, change theory, empowerment, and socialization are included.
