NURS 8302 Information Systems/Technology for the Improvement of Health Care
This course will examine the link between health information technology and quality improvement in a range of primary care settings. Content is aimed at the interoperability of data and information to achieve better care, improved population health, decreased healthcare costs, and client/clinician satisfaction. Students will examine standardized coding of data within the messaging structure to achieve comparability and exchange of nurse-generated data across information systems.
