FINA 4384 Financial Data and Analysis

This course analyzes the role of financial information systems in strategic managerial decision making. Emphasis is placed on use of information systems and programs for information acquisition and analysis to build simulation and optimization models to aid business organizations with their forecasting and risk management needs. Examples of information systems are Thomson Reuters Datastream, Mergent Online, Federal Reserve, BEA, and SEC databases.

Prerequisite

FINA 3380 and Junior standing. All students pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Economics, or Bachelor of Science in Materials Management and Logistics from VCoBE, must apply for and be admitted to VCoBE before they are allowed to enroll in the Advanced Business Core and Major coursework for their degree.
