Paramedic Science - A.S.

Emergency medicine and the prehospital service careers are some of the fastest growing segments in the job market. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, job opportunities for emergency medical technician (EMTs) and paramedics are projected to grow 7% (faster than average) from 2018 to 2028. Emergencies, such as car crashes, natural disasters, and acts of violence, will continue to require the skills of EMTs and paramedics.

The shortage of paramedics has increased all across the United States over the last 10 -15 years. One of the biggest problems is finding quality paramedic education. This program of study will be based upon creating a well-round critical thinker who will be able to provide excellent prehospital care. The focus of this program is based on a model of rural Emergency Medical Service where paramedics are much needed.
