Business Management & Administration BS/MBA (5-Year Program)
Students who complete the full, five-year course sequence will have experienced an integrated program of graduate studies, incorporating liberal arts strengths with contemporary business management studies. The BS in Business Management and Administration/MBA program at the Mount is designed to prepare students for careers in diverse organizational settings by inculcating them with skills, abilities and competencies that allow them to evaluate, communicate and solve business problems with ethical reasoning.
The undergraduate program provides students with the professional knowledge needed for key business disciplines, within the context of a comprehensive liberal arts education. Both the undergraduate and graduate business programs provide a capstone experience that is largely experiential, involving work with organizational clients and requiring integration of the major business functional areas, including finance, law, marketing, management and accounting.
BS/MBA undergraduate business students must maintain a GPA of at least 2.75 to remain eligible for admission in the MBA Program. Upon the completion of 120 credits or lower, if the 2.75 GPA requirement is not met, students are required to transfer to the non-5 year track in business.
Mount Saint Mary College has received accreditation for its business programs through the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) Olathe, Kansas. IACBE is the premier business accrediting body for business programs in student-centered colleges and universities throughout the world. The IACBE accredits business degree programs at more than 225 colleges and universities in more than 20 countries. IACBE promotes and recognizes excellence in business education in colleges at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
