ENG 2880 Professional Colloquia in Writing

This professional development course serves to prepare students to articulate their analytical, critical thinking and writing skills as a marketable set of materials for transitioning into industry positions. In this course, students will identify "ideal positions" within their field of expertise and begin developing professional documents directly related to these opportunities. Extending from these selected job opportunities, students will cultivate a portfolio of writing/multimodal samples through continual, rigorous peer review. Additionally, students will develop vital interviewing experience through rounds of practice interviews with colleagues and professionals. Ultimately, this course will allow students to produce drafts of professional job documents and demonstrate an ability to articulate their skills both orally and in writing.
