Programs for Nurse Practitioner Clinical Specialty Areas M.S.
The Nurse Practitioner Clinical Specialty courses focusing on Adult Primary or Acute Care, Pediatric, Family and Psychiatry are structured to enable students to assess physical and mental health conditions, diagnose illnesses, to perform therapeutic measures and to foster high levels of health through promotion, prevention and self-care.
Note: Students will be evaluated for clinical competencies after completing their minimum number of clinical hours (580) for Adult Primary and Acute, Pediatrics and Psychiatry, and (715) for Family. Additional practicum hours may be required. Practicum: Primary Care IV (NUR 5970) will fill this need (credits and clinical hours vary according to individual need.)
