MAT 2350 Mathematical Modeling

(formerly MAT 235)

This course is an introduction to mathematical modeling, a process of creating a mathematical representation of some phenomenon in order to gain a better understanding of that phenomenon. Examples range from creating models to study climate change as a result of increased levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to predicting the stock market. Computer software will be used to construct, interpret and validate various models.
