MAT 2340 Mathematics: A Cultural Approach

This course explores how Mathematics interacts with different media of popular culture, which includes movies, television, music and art. We examine how references to Mathematics in these media shape and reveal society's views of it.
Prerequisite
Three years of high school mathematics, including Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra 2; passing of the Algebra I Regents Examination; or equivalent.
