ENGY 401 Energy Systems Design

This course will reinforce the social, economic and technical knowledge needed to analyze energy systems including both renewable and non-renewable sources. It will provide students with a practical experience designing an energy system that optimizes resources, generation, and use of energy. Students are given an opportunity to consider the utilization of a particular energy system and to analyze its environmental impact. The students will consider sustainability issues on both local and global scales and will compare and contrast the issues based on geo-social context. The course integrates lecture and applied experience.
