Admission to the MAP Program
Admission to the MAP program is competitive and selective. Applicants are required to have completed either a bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in psychology from an accredited college or university or to have completed a minimum of twelve undergraduate credit hours in psychology. Applicants are expected to have completed the following courses: Introductory Psychology, Statistics, and Research Methods. Minimal qualifications for acceptance into the graduate program are an overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 and a GPA of 3.0 in psychology. Applicants with a GPA lower than 3.0 may be considered for admission by submitting official test scores from the General Test of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Letters of recommendation are requested as part of the application process only for applicants who are not completing their undergraduate degree at Marietta College. Some exceptions to these requirements may be considered; contact the MAP program director for more information.
